A sprinkle of rain for good luck.

Erin got ready for the day at the home of her parents.  The whole process of getting ready felt so comfortable and relaxed.  We took lots of photos in their wooded backyard, which was a dream location for any photographer.  The day remained perfectly cloudy and overcast after the rain stopped.

This whole wedding day felt so calm and easy.  Erin, Landon, and all of their family and friends were so kind and kept the mood feeling light-hearted.  Their ceremony took place at sunset, and it was honestly one of the most intimate and touching ceremonies I’ve witnessed.

Erin and Landon each hand-wrote their own vows, and it was so special to witness.  I’m pretty positive that there wasn’t a dry eye present.  I have to admit, even I got emotional while they read their vows.  (AKA yes, I shed a tear or two)  You’ll understand why once I explain…  Landon read a letter he had written years ago, after only dating Erin for a short period of time.  “To his future wife…”  Oh man, I could tear up again just reliving the memory in my mind!  How amazing is that?!  Landon wins ALL the points for romance and thoughtful-ness.  Erin’s vows were just as thoughtful and sweet.

Then there’s the fact that they both ended their vows with the statement, “I choose you.”  Cue the tears.

I left that night feeling so inspired by Erin and Landon’s love for each other.  I also felt inspired by their faith, which is what ultimately brought them together.  It’s all just so good and heart-warming.

It was one of those days where I knew that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.  I am so grateful that I got to know Erin and Landon and play a part in them becoming husband and wife.  This was a wedding day that I’ll never forget.
