These two literally couldn’t stop smiling during the beginning of their engagement session… That’s when I knew we were going to have an amazing afternoon. Jessica and Robert are so obviously in love with each other, and that makes my job extra fun. 🙂
When Jessica and I first started planning out our shoot, she mentioned to me that they love the water / the beach… She had this vision of them being in the water for some of the photos, but she wasn’t sure if it was a crazy idea or not. To that I said, that’s the BEST kind of crazy! I knew then and there that we were a perfect client-photographer match because they seemed adventurous and down for anything to get some cool photos… And that is right up my alley!
So towards the end of our shoot, just as the sun was setting, all three of us waded into Lake Pontchartrain. And magic happened. These photos are some of my favorites now, because of the tones in the light and the water as well as the love between the couple. It’s just all so good!!! I do wish there was another person there who could have snapped a photo of me as I was shooting these, because I imagine it looked interesting! Picture me up to my chest in the lake (my camera held high in the air) wearing yoga pants and a t-shirt! It was exhilarating and challenging, and I loved every minute of it!
Can’t wait to see what the wedding day will be like with these two! I can’t wait to take more photos of them!
