Hey everyone! Wishing you all a belated Happy New Year!
Here’s a new year resolution of mine: Share more content! I have had the privilege of photographing so many beautiful people and occasions in 2015, and I feel like you guys have seen only about 10% of it! So this year, I’m making it a point to share more of my work via blogging and social media. I’ve also made a resolution to start photographing more for myself outside of photographing my clients, but I’ll save that for a blog post of its own. 🙂
2015 was a great year for me. This was the first year that I reached my goal of super-duper-full-time wedding photographer, as opposed to doing a few weddings along with countless family / baby / kids sessions to fill my time and support myself. I feel that everything just fell into place for me this past year. I started getting more and more inquires about wedding photography, and before I knew it, the weddings had taken over my entire 2015 calendar! Bam! I’m so thankful for how this happened so organically through word of mouth and past clients referring me to newly engaged couples. It’s a beautiful thing. Working with couples and brides has become my favorite, and weddings bring me so much joy. So needless to say, I’m feeling successful at the start of this new year! 🙂 In 2015, my goal was to photograph 20 weddings… I ended the year with my last wedding being #22! Woop!
Anways… One of my favorite parts of the whole wedding-photography-process has to be meeting with the bride for a portrait session before the wedding day. It’s a fun, laid-back experience that is all about you enjoying that feeling of “Oh my gosh, I’m officially a bride!” It’s always such a fun time, and I personally don’t hate taking photos of beautiful ladies in beautiful dresses. 😉
So this post is an ode to all of the wonderful brides I got to work with last year. I am so thankful for each and every one of you! Thank you for allowing me to capture your beauty as I see it! I can’t wait to start working with my 2016 brides because I know they will be equally as lovely and awesome!
P.S. This is a monster of a blog post containing LOTS of photos, but I couldn’t leave any of my girls out! Feast your eyes on some serious bridal beauty.
XO
