Why I Decided to Rebrand

Today’s the big day!  I finally get to show off my new online home!

For a really long time I knew that my online presence didn’t reflect who I was or what my business was really about.  I had been using a logo I made myself when I first started out 3 years ago, and trust me when I say I am NO graphic designer.  It all just looked so BLAH!  I thought that I needed to keep everything very neutral and simple, with lots of black and white…  That’s what I saw lots of other photographers doing online, so I figured that’s what I was supposed to be doing too.

Luckily, I came to my senses.  Then I reached a point where I couldn’t stop daydreaming about what a rebrand would look like.  I knew that people were visiting my website and leaving without any sense of what I’m actually like!  In reality, my apartment is covered in color, so why was I trying to be so neutral?!  After the rebrand, I dreamed that people would visit me online and instantly learn that I love bright color, adventure, and all-around good vibes.  I think it’s a success.  : )

Thanks to the sweet girls at With Grace and Gold, LaineyReedPhotography.com now feels like home!  It’s colorful, happy, and I think it will speak more to the clients that I hope to work with in the future — people who are light-hearted, free-spirited, and up for adventure!

I couldn’t be more pleased with how the rebrand turned out!  Now that I love my online home, I plan to blog more and keep up with sharing all of work I’ve been making.  I hope that you all enjoy looking around and getting a feel for what I’m all about!
