Emily + Nicholas | Mount Hope Plantation Wedding | Baton Rouge, La.

From the minute I met Emily and Nicholas at our engagement shoot, I knew they were going to be such a JOY to work with.  During that shoot, they literally couldn’t stop smiling and laughing at each other.  They’re just one of those couples who are so sweet and obviously in love, it’s almost too adorable to handle.  (You can see what I’m talking about here!)

Cut to a year later…  November 19, 2016.  It was one of the most beautiful fall days!  (Because you know, we don’t have many of those in Louisiana.)  Mount Hope Plantation is such a sweet place for a wedding.  I really loved the quaint feel of the cottages, and all of the great trees and garden areas.  This was the perfect venue for this couple!  Not only because it’s pretty, but because it’s also the place where Nicholas proposed to Emily.

You could tell that lots of thought and time were put into every detail of the wedding.  (For example, Emily and her mom made all of those jars of jelly!  I took a bunch home, and they are delicious BTW)  Everything came together so beautifully, and the whole style of the wedding really reflected the couple’s personal style.  I loved everything about it!

My favorite moment of the day would have to be Emily and Nicholas sharing a prayer right before the ceremony (without seeing each other).  It was so emotional and beautiful!  I feel blessed to have been a part of that moment between just the two of them.  It’s so inspirational to see a couple with a relationship so deeply rooted in their faith.

ANYWAYS…  I just love Emily and Nicholas, and I loved their wedding.  It was SO beautiful and so much fun to capture!

OH, and I forgot to mention one more time how much I ADORE Emily’s dress!!!  It’s straight out of a fairy-tale / dream, and it was perfect for her!
